WORKSHOP PROPOSAL
In this workshop, you will develop the “Raised Arm Model” project using Omar Ortiz’s realistic oil painting technique, following his process step by step.
Throughout the four classes, you will focus especially on the realistic human figure, skin tones, anatomy, light and shadow, with special attention to the raised arm and its volumes.
The project provides an opportunity to study the anatomy and volume of the raised arm, skin transitions, light, shadow and the integration of the figure, while observing Omar’s color mixtures, paint application and pictorial decisions throughout the different stages of the work.

Access an intensive training experience with Mexican master painter Omar Ortiz, internationally recognized for his realistic painting.
This workshop was originally taught live and is now available as the complete recording of6 classes of approximately 6 hours each, offering around 36 hours of training while preserving Omar’s explanations, demonstrations and the original live-class dynamic.
WORKSHOP OBJECTIVE
Through the “Raised Arm Model” project, Omar Ortiz develops the fundamental aspects of his realistic oil painting process.
Throughout the classes, special attention is given to the realistic human figure, skin tones, anatomy, light and shadow, with special attention to the raised arm and its volumes.
The project allows you to understand the anatomy and volume of the raised arm, skin transitions, light, shadow and the integration of the figure. Throughout the process, you can observe how Omar selects colors, prepares mixtures, applies paint and resolves the different stages of the work.
6 COMPLETE CLASSES – APPROXIMATELY 36 HOURS
The workshop includes 6 recorded classes of approximately 6 hours each. You can observe not only the final result, but especially how Omar builds the painting and resolves challenges throughout the process.
LEARN AT YOUR OWN PACE
You can pause each explanation, go back, repeat a procedure as many times as needed, and paint along while following Omar’s process.
LEARNING LEVEL
The workshop is suitable for students with different levels of experience. Drawing skills are not required, as the project design is included so it can be transferred or traced before painting begins.
SUPPORTING LEARNING MATERIALS
In addition to the complete video classes, the workshop includes a sequence of more than 50 color photographs documenting the different stages of the painting, together with the project design, reference images and complementary files.
ART MATERIALS
The workshop is developed with oil paints on canvas and brushes of different sizes and characteristics. A detailed materials file is included.
