OBJECTIVE

This online program covers the essential topics required to achieve professional-quality work. You will learn how to select and use materials, mix and develop realistic skin tones, and accurately represent the human figure.

Special focus will be placed on the anatomy of hands, eyes, eyebrows, nose, and mouth, along with color application and shading techniques.

No prior drawing experience is required, as the design selected by the instructor will be traced onto the canvas.

LEVEL

Open to anyone interested in learning realistic painting techniques.

This is a challenging and demanding course suitable for all levels. Beginners are encouraged to focus on the learning process rather than the final result. The experience is designed to be enriching, with each student gaining different insights according to their personal level.

MODALITY

Live online sessions via Zoom, accessible from computers, tablets, and mobile devices.

The program is designed to allow students to paint alongside the instructor, share the creative process, and deepen their understanding of oil realism and art concepts in general. Each session includes time for questions and answers, as well as personalized guidance, comments, and suggestions.

RECORDED CLASSES

All live sessions are recorded, and enrolled students will have access to the recordings for review. This also ensures you won’t miss any content in case of connectivity issues or scheduling conflicts.

PERSONALIZED FEEDBACK

Approximately 2–3 weeks after the first session, Omar Ortiz provides personalized video feedback on each student’s progress.

SCHEDULE

10:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Mexico – Guadalajara time)
Includes a 30–40 minute break at midday.

SUPPORT MATERIAL

Students will receive reference images and video materials to support the learning process.
Access is provided via Google Drive, so a Gmail account is required.

ART MATERIALS

The workshop is conducted in oil painting on canvas.
Students will receive a detailed list of recommended materials, including paints and brushes of various sizes and qualities.

REGISTRATION FEES

Full price: USD 580

Reservation: Secure your spot with a deposit of USD 150

Remaining balance: USD 300, payable either in one installment or in 2 equal payments of USD 150, due on:
